30th Annual Sons of Italy Gala - 2016Order Sons of Italy, Garibaldi Lodge held its 30th Annual Gala Dinner on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the RBC Winnipeg Convention Centre.Presented by RBC, this acclaimed event not only demonstrated the philanthropic spirit of Sons of Italy, but also the caring and giving that Winnipeggers, their businesses and leaders are known for. Attendees enjoyed a welcoming reception, and outstanding five course dinner, fine wines, engaging (and short) presentations, a keynote address from Police Chief Devon Clunis, and wonderful music by the Amici Band that had the dance floor full. It's About Giving to the CommunityThe WPS Endowment Fund has been designed for the advancement and enrichment of underserved and at-risk families and children. The goal of the Endowment Fund is to subsidize recognized projects within the community, which support the Winnipeg Police Service vision of creating a culture of safety. Police Chief Devon Clunis spoke eloquently about his vision for the city and how he sees the WPS Endowment Fund helping to build a better community.
